Our Mission
​As part of a national grassroots movement of Indivisible groups, we are dedicated to electing progressive leaders who embody our values and work toward the passage of legislation that reflects those principles. As a nonpartisan organization, we advocate for the implementation of bold progressive policies, striving to ensure a strong democracy. We achieve this by organizing efforts to amplify our voices to elected officials, ensuring that our democracy is free from local and national policies or legislation that marginalizes the vulnerable and undermines our health and well-being. We are committed to promoting equality, fairness, and justice for all through education and activism.​

Our Legislative Platform
Environment/Climate – Ensure swift and strong action toward ending the climate crisis. Ensure clean energy transformation, climate mitigation, and ecosystem restoration, exercising leadership that affirms justice, equity, and indigenous rights. Ensure Washington state’s management of fish and wildlife values science, indigenous knowledge, and the rights of nature, and prioritizes the protection and preservation of wildlife, including wild fish and our resident Orca population on behalf of all Washingtonians.
Human Rights and Racial Justice – We are committed to advancing policies that uphold human rights and dismantle systemic racism, ensuring equity and justice for communities of color. We support efforts to address racial disparities in healthcare, education, housing, and criminal justice while promoting inclusive representation and economic empowerment. By advocating for protections against discrimination, we strive to build a more just and equitable society for all.
Women’s Rights – Ensure equal pay for equal work protections. In addition to ensuring women and individuals presenting as women are safe at home and at work, including protection from sexual assault and from further trauma after the assault has occurred. Support national adoption of the Equal Rights Amendment.
Reproductive Rights – Ensure all individuals have the right to choose what happens to their bodies to include gender-affirming care and access to safe abortion care. Ensure unrestricted access to family planning services and birth control.
LGBTQ+ Rights – We are dedicated to supporting the rights and dignity of the LGBTQ+ community by advocating for policies that ensure full equality, protection from discrimination, and access to inclusive healthcare, education, and employment. We stand against violence and harmful legislation targeting LGBTQ+ individuals and are committed to fostering a society where everyone can live authentically and safely.
Gun Violence Prevention – Ensure the safety of all the citizens in our state by enacting common-sense gun legislation.
Education – Ensure access to quality education at all levels and abilities, including colleges, universities, and trade schools. Incorporate age-appropriate critical race theory and provide a comprehensive history of all minority communities, including Native Americans, African Americans, Asian and Pacific Islanders, the Holocaust, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and others.
Supreme Court Reform – Ensure a fair and unbiased U.S. Supreme Court. We advocate for court reform, including increasing the number of justices, term limits, and an enforceable, strong judicial code of ethics.
Voter Rights – Ensure all voters have equal opportunity to exercise their right to vote, in addition to ensuring our elections remain free, fair, and accessible.
Health Care – Ensure access to affordable health care, in addition to ensuring fair and reasonable drug pricing. Ensure access to mental healthcare and addiction treatment services.
Law Enforcement – Ensure the allocation/reallocation of funding toward alternatives to law enforcement intervention in cases needing services such as crisis intervention specialists, social workers, behavioral and mental health experts, food assistance, clean water, housing assistance, and school funding.
Immigration – Ensure the human rights of all non-citizens, especially minors, to not be detained except in cases of criminal conduct, to have legal representation when facing immigration hearings and to not be required to show proof of citizenship as a requirement to accessing governmental benefits, jobs or privileges, except for the right to vote. Finally, we oppose the collection of citizenship data by law enforcement.
Housing – Ensure housing is a fundamental right for all, and support legislation to address the housing crisis by allowing middle housing to ensure communities are as diverse as possible. Ensure the availability of public transportation to support new housing development. Support efforts to provide low- and middle-income housing. Support efforts to enact rent stabilization and support for the Affordable Homes Act.
The Opioid Epidemic – Ensure an end to the epidemic by preventing pharmaceutical industries from profiting from addiction, encouraging low-cost treatment options, and providing new doctor-patient education and healthy alternatives to opioids to stop the epidemic.
Safety Net Programs – Ensure a pathway to stability for low-income families/individuals and persons with disabilities.
Economic Justice – Ensure the implementation of and support for progressive tax reform. Ensure support for working families and mandate a livable wage with benefits to support our most vulnerable citizens, especially those living at lower income levels.
Net Neutrality – Ensure that all Internet service providers (ISPs) treat the data that travels over their networks fairly, without improper discrimination in favor of particular apps, sites, or services.
Data Privacy – Ensure the ability of each individual to determine for themselves when, how, and to what extent their personal information is shared with or communicated to others. In addition, ensure all efforts are made to eliminate bias, particularly racial bias, that has been evidenced in Artificial Intelligence (AI) software.
